The TIU Men's and Women's cross country teams traveled to Champaign, IL for the Christie Clinic Illinois Half Marathon and 10k on Saturday April 27 to cap off their Spring training cycle. There were 6,199 runners in the 13.1 mile half marathon on a beautiful Spring morning.
4/23/13 - Exactly one week after a bombing at the Boston Marathon that killed 3 and injured many others, several TIU cross country runners participated in a local charity run in support of the One Fund Boston Charity.
November 10, 2012- The TIU Cross Country teams traveled to Cedarville, OH for the National Christian Collegiate Athletic Association (NCCAA) Championship race hosted by Cedarville University. Three lady Trojans represented TIU in one of the largest NCCAA fields ever.
November 3, 2012- The TIU Women's Cross Country team traveled to Channahon, IL for the Chicagolands Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Championship hosted by University of St. Francis. TIU placed 11th out of 12 teams on a fast course in cool, dry conditions.
Saturday October 20, 2012- TIU Women's Cross Country traveled to Grand Rapids, MI to race against a large field at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge 5k (3.1 mi) hosted by Aquinas College. There were 355 runners in the race. Fellow CCAC member Olivet Nazarene won the meet with 41 points, followed by Cornerstone (105) and Huntington (168).
Saturday October 6, 2012- TIU Women's Cross Country traveled to Greenfield Park near Milwaukee, WI to compete in the Warrior Invitational hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran College.
