2010-11 Men's Basketball Coaches
Andy Euler - Head Coach - 3rd Season
Head Coach

Coach Andy Euler begins the 2009-2010 basketball campaign in his third season as head coach at Trinity International University.  Coach Euler enters his 22nd season overall as a head coach with great expectation as the Trojans return four players with starting experience from last year's squad.  Adding to the returnees are several new players that will add depth and experience to the team.  Trojan basketball will continue to be full of action and fun, as the Trojans will continue to employ their fast paced style of basketball that will be sure to keep fans energized and their opponents gasping for breath.

Coach Euler comments, "Our main goal will always be first and foremost to honor Jesus Christ in all that we do and say. Secondly, we want our players excelling in the classroom, obtaining a degree that will be useful as they seek to be salt and light in our world. Thirdly, we want to be excellent at the game of basketball and continue our growth to become a nationally recognized college basketball program.

Coach Euler joined the Trinity International University Family after serving for two years as head men's basketball coach at Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Georgia, which competes in the Appalachian Athletic Conference. Prior to his time at Covenant, Euler enjoyed a long tenure (1994-2006) at Wheaton Academy in West Chicago, Illinois, where he earned an impressive coaching record of 258-171 while teaching and serving as head of the Bible department. With Coach Euler at the helm, the Wheaton Academy Warriors won four Private School League championships, were the regional runners-up five times, and won the regional championship in 1998. Twenty-one of his former Warriors went on to continue their playing careers in college at NCAA Divisions I, II, III, and NAIA institutions. Coach Euler received the Private School League coach of the year recognition twice while coaching at Wheaton Academy, as well as the IHSA District 9 coach of the year award in 2000.

Prior to his time at Wheaton Academy, Coach Euler spent time coaching and teaching at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks and Pillsbury College in Owatonna, Minnesota. In 1992 he directed his Anchorage Christian High School squad to the 3A Alaska state championship while also receiving coach of the year honors.

Andy Euler grew up in Columbus, Ohio before earning his bachelor of education degree from the University of Alaska at Fairbanks, where he also was a standout basketball player. In his senior year as team captain for the Nanooks, Euler averaged over 20 points per game, was recognized as his team's Most Valuable Player, and was chosen as part of an all west coast team. Euler went on to receive his master's degree from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary.

Coach Euler and his wife, Melissa, have been married for more than thirty years and have three children: a married son, Jordan; Benjamin (21), a junior in college, and Anna (18), a senior in high school, as well as a yellow lab, Yukon.
