Coach Jenna Sippel enters her first season serving as the Head Coach of the softball program. Sippel served as the Interim Coach last season, but has taken over the reigns this year.
Sippel is familiar with Trinity, the NAIA, NCCAA, and CCAC as she served as a pitcher and first baseman for the Trojan program from 2003-2007. She was a part of the 2007 team that advanced to the NCCAA National Tournament where the squad ended up placing fourth overall. Sippel earned NCCAA All-American Honors that year, and made the NAIA All-Region VII Team as well as the CCAC All- Conference Team.
After graduating with a degree in Sports Wellness and
Management in spring 2007, Sippel continued serving the softball program here
at Trinity as a graduate assistant for one year. In the fall of 2008, the
program transitioned under her leadership.
Last season the team tallied 6 wins, but they are looking to do more this spring. With the addition of new talent and increased enthusiasm, the Trojan softball team looks to build the program with a winning tradition.
Sippel leads the program with a focus on Unity, Courage, Strength, and Excellence. These core values have been passed from team to team since she was a member of the squad. Sippel challenges the team to use intercollegiate athletic competition as an opportunity to grow in both current and future relationships with the Lord, while also building a team that strives to compete at an NAIA national level.
Sippel is a native of Kankakee, Illinois and a graduate of Kankakee High School. She went on to study Sports Wellness and Management here at Trinity International University, and is currently pursuing her Master of Arts degree in Counseling/Psychology at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.
