Patrick Gilliam has served as both the Head Men's and Women's Soccer Coach at Trinity International University since 1996. He has coached the men's team from 1996-2000 and again for the last four seasons (2008-2011). He has led the women for the last fifteen campaigns (1997-2011). Gilliam has guided the men's team to the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) national tournament in both 2000 and 2008. As women's soccer coach, Gilliam's teams have posted impressive numbers, having won three CCAC regular season and three conference tournament championships. In addition, the Lady Trojans earned berths to nine consecutive national championship tournaments (NCCAA in 1998 and 2002-2006, & NAIA from 1999-2001) and eleven overall berths. TIU has advanced to the NCCAA National Title Match five times, winning titles in both the 1998 and 2004 seasons.
Gilliam is a 1991 graduate of Judson College, where he was a physical education/ secondary education major and an English minor. He was a four-year member of the Judson men's soccer team, earning all-conference honors as a junior, and playing on two NCCAA National Tournament qualifiers.
Gilliam was born and reared in St. Louis, Missouri, and he presently resides in Wheeling, Illinois with his wife [Holly] and their two children [Ian-17, and Emma-13].
Kelvin Tohme is currently serving as Associate Head Coach for both the Men's and Women's soccer teams at Trinity International University and is beginning his 19th season of coaching involvement with the TIU soccer program in different coaching capacities. Tohme was part of the coaching staff of two Women's National Christian College Athletics Association Championship titles in 1998 and 2004; and three NAIA National tournament appearances.
Kelvin graduated from Judson University in Elgin, Illinois in 1986 with a double major in Computer Information Systems and Business Administration; and played soccer under legendary coach Steve Burke. After college Kelvin continued playing soccer with Ambassadors in Sports and Missionary Athletes International/Chicago Eagles which gave him the privilege of playing and ministering in more than 20 countries and five continents.
Kelvin has worked at TIU for twenty years in the Information Technology Department and serves as Director of Networking & Telecommunications. He was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and currently lives in Bannockburn, Illinois with his wife of 5 years Anne and their two young children Landon (3) and Lauryn (1).
Katie Kulchar is coming in for her first season on the coaching staff at TIU as the women's graduate assistant coach. She has experience coaching for OnGoal Summer Soccer camps, Flushing Champions Soccer Camp, Olivet Nazarene University's Soccer camps, as well as doing team training for the USSA club in Manteno, IL and personal training for individuals from the club.
Kulchar graduated from Olivet Nazarene University in May 2011, where she was a Psychology and Intercultural Studies major. She was a four-year member of the women's soccer team as well as a captain for her junior and senior seasons. In addition to being a part of the 2008 NCCAA National Championship team, she was a part of the NCCAA National tournament qualifying team in 2007, the NCCAA Runner up team in 2009, and the NAIA National tournament qualifier as well as CCAC Tournament Championship team in 2010.
Kulchar is from Flushing, MI and currently resides in Forest Lake, IL while she is studying to get her Master's in Mental Health Counseling at Trinity Graudate School.
Josiah Larson has served as both the Assistant Coach and Goalkeeper Coach for the Men's and Women's Soccer Team at Trinity International University since 2010. During that time he has also been a personal trainer for Sports Made Personal located in Niles Illinois. Larson works with young athletes on speed, agility and quickness and on soccer specifics. He has also worked as a speed, agility and quickness trainer for Lacrosse; Soccer club; and Baseball teams, and has worked with individual athletes in basketball, hockey, field hockey, lacrosse, football, baseball and soccer. Larson has worked as a trainer and coach for local soccer clubs: FC United, Trevian, Pegasus, Lincolnshire and Glenview.
Larson is a 2009 graduate of Mars Hill College, where he was a history major and business minor. He was a four-year member of the Mars Hills men's soccer team earning honors as a goalkeeper and earning top 10 rankings in NCAA DII in saves and save percentage.
Larson was born in Newburyport, Massachusetts and raised in Falls Church, Virginia, just outside of Washington DC. He is currently living in Arlington Heights, Illinois with his wife Karen.
Wendy Moore enters her fourth year at Trinity International University as a Women's Soccer Assistant Coach. Wendy played for Trinity Internatonal University from 2004 - 2008 and earned a Bachelors Degree in Sports and Wellness Management. During her time with the Lady Trojans they earned NCCAA Regional Championships in 2004 and 2006, Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament Championship in 2005, and had three consecutive berths to the NCCAA National Tournament in 2004, 2005 and 2006, where for two years in a row they made an appearance in the National Finals (2004 and 2005); winning the NCCAA National Championship in 2004.
Wendy remained in the Chicagoland area after graduation and began a full-time coaching position with a north shore Chicago area soccer training company from 2008-2010. During those years she gained experience as head coach of multiple youth and high school club teams, while also learning to excel in developing the individual athlete through private training sessons. A year after she graduated she was also offered a position with the Lady Trojans as an assistant coach. From 2010-2012 she transitioned her coaching efforts to a north shore Chicago area soccer club where she coached multiple teams and directed various programs and clinics. In 2012 she was named Technical Director of the club, where she continues to play a role in player and club development.
Wendy was born and raised in Chanhassen, Minnesota and currently resides in Highwood, Illinois.
Rebekah Niedermayer is a 2011 graduate of Trinity International University where she graduated with a degree in Physical Education and Health. During her time at Trinity, Rebekah was a part of the Women's soccer program for four years as a goalkeeper. After graduating from Trinity, Rebekah went on to play for the Charlotte Eagles of the W-league for two seasons.
Rebekah is currently coaching several club teams for Lincolnshire Lightning. In addition, she is working with a local high school girls' varsity soccer team.
