Andy Euler - Head Coach - 4th Season

Coach Andy Euler begins the 2011- 2012 basketball campaign in his fourth season as head coach at Trinity International University.  Coach Euler enters his 22nd season overall as a head coach with great expectation as the Trojans work to build upon their 15 win season last year.  The 15 wins was the most in 5 years for the Trojans.

Coach Euler comments, "Our main goal will always be first and foremost to honor Jesus Christ in all that we do and say. Secondly, we want our players excelling in the classroom, obtaining a degree that will be useful as they seek to be salt and light in our world. Thirdly, we want to be excellent at the game of basketball and continue our growth to become a nationally recognized college basketball program."

Coach Euler joined the Trinity International University Family after serving for two years as head men's basketball coach at Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Georgia, which competes in the Appalachian Athletic Conference. Prior to his time at Covenant, Euler enjoyed a long tenure (1994-2006) at Wheaton Academy in West Chicago, Illinois, where he earned an impressive coaching record of 258-171 while teaching and serving as head of the Bible department. With Coach Euler at the helm, the Wheaton Academy Warriors won four Private School League championships, were the regional runners-up five times, and won the regional championship in 1998. Twenty-one of his former Warriors went on to continue their playing careers in college at NCAA Divisions I, II, III, and NAIA institutions. Coach Euler received the Private School League coach of the year recognition twice while coaching at Wheaton Academy, as well as the IHSA District 9 coach of the year award in 2000.

Prior to his time at Wheaton Academy, Coach Euler spent time coaching and teaching at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks and Pillsbury College in Owatonna, Minnesota. In 1992 he directed his Anchorage Christian High School squad to the 3A Alaska state championship while also receiving Alaska coach of the year honors.

Andy Euler grew up in Columbus, Ohio before earning his bachelor of education degree from the University of Alaska at Fairbanks, where he also was a standout basketball player. In his senior year as team captain for the Nanooks, Euler averaged over 20 points per game, was recognized as his team's Most Valuable Player, and was named to the NABC all West Coast Team. Euler went on to receive his master's degree from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary.

Coach Euler and his wife, Melissa, have been married for more than thirty years and have three children: a married son, Jordan (25); Benjamin (22), a senior in college, and Anna (18), a Freshman in college, as well as a yellow lab, Yukon.

Jason Irwin` - Assistant Coach - 3rd Season

Jason Irwin enters his third year with the Trojan staff to assist at the Varsity level and heads up the strength and conditioning program for the Trojans.  "We are thankful to the Lord for Jason's ability to relate to our players and his knowledge of Strength and Conditioning along with his basketball knowledge" comments Coach Euler.  Jason is completing his Masters in Counseling from Trinity Graduate School and is involved as a counseling intern at the campus counseling center.Jason was  a four year player at Emmaus Bible College. 
Kimberly Schmidt - Manager - 4th Season

Kimberly Schmidt enters her 4th season as manager of the TIU men's basketball team.  Kimberly is an elementary education major and will be graduating in May looking to teach at the elementary level.
