Hammond, Ind - In their second match up of the conference season with Purdue University Calumet, the Trojans fall to the Peregrines again, 69-75. Sophomore Forward Nathan Ball had a double-double for the Trojans with 22 points and 17 rebounds Wednesday evening.

The Trojans went into Wednesday nights match up on a two game win streak over Judson University and Calumet St Joseph, while the Peregrines were coming of a 66-72 loss to the University of St. Francis.
The Trojans kept it tight after tip off, tying the Peregrines 11-11 at 15:23. The Peregrines seperated from the Trojans with a 9 point lead at 16-25 by the 11 minute mark. Immediately, Trinity's Dan Metzelfeld hit a three pointer to bring the Trojans within 6 at 19-25, then, followed by a lay up from Ball, the Trojans were within 4. The Peregrines were able to seperate the lead again by 9 points with three minutes to go. While both teams continued to advance the scoreline, key baskets were made in the final minutes by Dillon Wadsack with a lay up, and Metzelfeld with a three pointer and a field goal. The Trojans entered the break trailing the Peregrines 33-41.
Trinity Sophomore Nathan Ball shoots free throw
For the first four minutes into the second half Trinity held Purdue Calumet scoreless and Ball put in two field goals along with a free throw from Freshmen Josh Markum to make it 38-44. The Peregrines were able to hold the lead throughout the half and be up by as many as 13 at 57-70 with 2:14 remaining. Trinity's Demontay Robinson grabbed a lay up and a free throw to cut it to 60-70. Right after, Trinity's Ball also put in a lay up with a foul attributed and finished the free throw as well to make it 63-70 at 1:26. The Peregrines would woulg go 5 for 6 on free throws, making Wadsack and Metzefleld late three's not enough, finishing the match 69-75.
The Trojans travel to the University of St. Francis on Saturday, February 2nd for a 7:00pm game. In their previous match up Trinity International took the victory over St. Francis 77-67.
