Deerfield, Ill.-  TIU Lady Trojans matched up with No. 14 Cardinal Stritch Wolves in their second meeting of the season, with the Wolves defeating TIU 70-55.

The Lady Trojans started out the game strong with TIU defense holding The Wolves to 17 points in the first 10 minutes and only trailing by 4.  With the sharp shooting of CSU 51% from the field in the first half, along with shooting 85% from the free throw line The Wolves closed the half leading by 14.

The Wolves extended their lead to start the second half the behind a barrage of 3 pointers, extending the lead to 26 points.  After a TIU timeout The Trojan offense was ignited by a energetic full court press causing The Wolves to commit 10 second half turnovers, with CSU finishing the game with 21 turnovers.  TIU was able to convert those turnovers into 22 points, but that would be to little to late as TIU ran out of time in their comeback.

Junior Abigail Hemmeger (Kokomo, IN) led all scores with a season high 21 points.

The Lady Trojans will be back in action on the road in another conference game against CCSJ in Hammond, IN at 5:30pm.
