The Lady Trojans fought hard in a losing effort as they traveled to Chicago, IL last night to take on the Roosevelt University Lakers.

The Lady Trojans lost to Roosevelt University last night 87-77 despite almost having three players reach the 20 point mark. Roosevelt shot 54.8 percent from the field in the contest while Trinity shot just 37.8 percent.

The rebound advantage favored Trinity slightly, as the steals and assists favored Roosevelt. Although Roosevelt got to the free throw line 28 times, they only made 16 (57.1%) while Trinity made 13 of 16 at the line (80%).

The Lady Trojans were down by as many as 18 but fought back to cut it to 10 but Roosevelt kept the pressure on by making shots down the stretch to keep them at a comfortable distance.

Clarissa Woodard had a double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds, Brittany Simon and Cassie Glendenning both added 19.

The Lady Trojans will be back in action on Thursday Jan. 19 at home against Indiana University-South Bend at 5:30 P.M.
