The Lady Trojans loss to PUC evens their CCAC record at 2-2 on the year.

The Trinity International University Women's basketball team lost to Purdue University- Calumet (PUC) on Saturday night 75-68 thanks to a early 17-7 run to open the game, as they held TIU to 28.6 percent shooting in the first half.  The loss drops the Lady Trojans to 6-9 on the year and 2-2 in CCAC play.

 Purdue Calumet would connect on 41.9 percent of its shots from the field, including 5-of-9 from downtown, to take a 41-33 lead into halftime.

The Peregrines led by as many as 13 in the second half, but Trinity would manage to stay within striking distance but it wouldn't be enough as PUC, shot 52 percent from the field in the closing period.

Purdue Calumet finished the contest with a 46.4 field goal percentage, while connecting on 8-of-14 of its three-point attempts. The Trojans shot 38.1 percent from the field and managed just 26.7 shooting from beyond the arc.

Jessica Switzer tied for the game high with 20 points and Clarissa Woodard had 18 to go with 8 rebounds.

Trinity will be back in action on the road at Cardinal Stritch University on Jan. 11th at 5:30 P.M.
