Elgin, IL – The Trinity International Men's Basketball team returned refreshed on January 4th to win against the Judson University Eagles in the Lindner Fitness Center at Elgin, IL.  The Trojans fought hard for the win, neck in neck with the Eagles the whole time.  The final score was 79-77.

The Trojans were off to a slow start at the beginning of the first half, letting the Eagles rack up 5 points before Nate Ball converted a layup in the 17th minute.  From then on, the Trojans would trail by just a few points until the 8th minute, when they surged ahead, bringing the score to 25-21.

The Eagles pulled ahead again at the end of the first half, and the two teams traded the lead back and forth until the 6th minute, when the Trojans took the lead and kept it.  The audience was on the edge of their seats in the final minute, as the score went from 73-75 to 75-75, then 75-77, then 77-77 with 12 seconds on the clock.  It wasn't until the clock had only 6 seconds left that the Trojans finished off the Eagles, the winning layup being made by Allen Lott.

It was an exciting game, and the Trojan's played impressively, converting 6 of their 7 free throws in the first half, and 10 of 13 in the second.  Allen Lott, Nate Ball, and Dillon Wadsack were the highest scorers for the Trojans with 14, 13, and 13 total points respectively.   Nate Ball and Demontay Robinson each grabbed 5 rebounds for the team.

It was a great victory for the Trojans, who will play at home this Saturday, January 7th against Purdue University Calumet.  Come out and support the team in their first home game of the New Year!
