DEERFIELD, IL-The TIU women's volleyball team looked solid in two early scrimmages this season against the alumni and College of Lake County. The team is looking to continue of last year's success and every player is anxious for the season to begin.

They will rely heavily on experience and leadership provided by Junior Tayler Arsenseau who was a first team all conference selection last year, Senior Allison Kingsbury who is the libero, and Senior Cheri Stoddard who sets, was honorable mention all conference last year.

"We have a tremendously amount of athleticism and great potential as a team.  A strong group of returners will provide the leadership we need to be successful.  A few hard-working newcomers will see the court early, and we look for others to provide some depth that we have lacked in the past," head Coach Jill Rokosik said.

There will also be some new additions that are looking for big seasons as well like Freshman Becca Campbell who is an outside hitter, and Freshman Allie Boggs who is also a setter. The volleyball team opens the year with a tournament at St. Ambrose University this weekend in Iowa and will play four games against Hastings College, Mount Vernon Nazarene College, Iowa Wesleyan College, and Benedictine University.
