DEERFIELD, IL - The Trojans welcome Mitchel Wiseman to the 2010-2011 Trinity International University men's soccer team. Wiseman is from Cherry Valley, California and attends Arrowhead Christian High School.

Wiseman's high school coach is, Greg Treur, a TIU graduate and former soccer player for Head Coach Patrick Gilliam in 1996 and 1997...Coach Gilliams's first two seasons at Trinity as the men's soccer coach. 

Wiseman made his high school varsity soccer team all four years and made it to the second round of CIF his freshman year. In his sophomore year, Wiseman made first team all league, first team all CIF, defensive player of the year, all tourney player, and honorable mention in the Sun Paper. His team also made it to the finals in CIF in his sophomore year. Due to a broken finger in his junior year, Wiseman was out most of the season. However, he still won first team all league. In his senior year, Wiseman won first team all league, third team all CIF, and the MVP defensive player award. His team made it to the quarterfinals in CIF. 

Head men's soccer coach, Patrick Gilliam, says, "Mitchel is a tremendous talent and a wonderful addition to the Trojan Soccer Program.  I am obviously excited about his strong on-field experience and abilities.  However, I am equally encouraged by his character and integrity...He will be an excellent 'fit' here at Trinity and I look forward to his contributions over the next four years."

The Trinity family looks forward to meeting Mitchel in August 2010!
