CHICAGO, IL- The Trinity International University men's baseball team was able to split their doubleheader on the road against Robert Morris College losing the first game 1-6 and winning the second game 7-4.

The Trojans (31-16, 13-14) looked to avenge their loss to the Eagles (29-19, 18-12) at home with a double win on the road, but were only able to come away with one win for the afternoon.

In Game 1, Robert Morris was up on the board first scoring 2 runs in the bottom of the second.  The Eagles scored the rest of their runs going into the top of the sixth inning on a comfortable, 0-6 lead.

First baseman, Kevin Tenney (JR San Diego, CA) would hit a sacrifice fly earning the teams only RBI and run batting in Phil Sims (SR Waukegan, IL) who got on base with a single.

The Eagles defense would hold the Trojans for the rest of game 1 defeating the Trojans 1-6.

In Game 2, it would seem to be a replay of the previous game with Robert Morris taking an early lead in the bottom of the second and continually adding runs.

The Trojans would be patient and wait for their final at bat to spring ahead of the Eagles.  In the top of the seventh the Trojans would score a total of 6 runs gaining the lead for the first time and would hold on to it till the end, 7-4.

TIU was lead by right fielder, Anthony Mendoza (JR Yorkville, IL) who batted 3-4 with 2 RBI's in the game off what would be a game clinching double.

Greg Hess (SO Waterman, IL) was the winning Trojans pitcher, who threw for the entire game striking out two batters.

The Trojans next play University of Illinois- Chicago on the road May 4th at 7:00 PM
