On Thursday, April 15, 2010, Justine McDowell became the first signed member of the newly formed Women's Cross Country Team at Trinity International University.

Justine will be a sophomore transfer student from Illinois Valley Community College where she has achieved a 3.4 GPA. She ran four years of cross country and track at Mendota High School in Mendota, Illinois. There she achieved a personal best 3 mile cross country time of 20:57 and a personal best 1600 meter outdoor track time of 6:07.

The Women's Cross Country Coach, Chad Ware, is excited about the signing: "Justine will be a vital member of our team as we start this program. Her Christian values, hard work, and desire to improve are clearly evident, and those intangibles are sure to rub off on her teammates."

Justine will join Allyson Schoffstall, a junior at TIU, on the Women's Cross Country team. If you see Allyson on campus this week, be sure to wish her well for her marathon debut at the Wisconsin Marathon on Saturday, May 1.
