GOSHEN, IN- The Trinity International University Trojans men's baseball team split their doubleheader on the road against Goshen College with final scores 8-1 and 6-7.
The weather decided to change for the best in preparation of the clash between the Trojans and the Maple Leafs. The Trojans breezed by the Leafs in the first contest winning 8-1.
The second game was more interesting as the two forces battled one another. The Trojans started off the game with a single shot giving them the lead at the end of the first inning. The Leafs fought back ending the Trojan lead quickly with their own solo shot.
With the score tied 2-2 in the fourth inning Goshen struck first tallying up five runs in the frame. The Trojans would answer with 4 runs in the fifth inning but wouldn't be able to overcome the Maple Leaf's bull pen ending the game 6-7.
The Trojans (10-5) take on Saint Xavier University (10-6-1) on the road March 18th at 1:30 PM.
