SARASOTA, FL-  The Trinity International University men's baseball team start off their season hot in Florida winning their first four games of the season at the Goshen Invitational against Goshen College: 11-7, 5-3, 8-3, and 10-5 respectively.


Although Goshen College is in Indiana the two teams broke free from the cold and snow and played four games in a much warmer Sarasota, Florida.  The high today in Deerfield was 34 degrees compared to the high of 53 degrees in Sarasota.

The weather wasn't the only thing that was getting warmer as the Trojans swept the Leafs in their  first two double headers of the seaosn on Friday and Saturday.  The first game of the double header was won by TIU 11-7.  The second game wasn't as high scoring, but left the Trojans victorious winning 5-3.

The second double header held similar results in Trojan victory.  TIU outscored Goshen 8-3 in the first game and 10-5..

The Trojans hope to continue this trend as they prepare for the upcoming Spring season.  Their next contest is against La Sierra University March 5th at the Greater Phoenix Invitational.
