DEERFIELD, IL-  The Trinity International University Men's Soccer team signed its first recruit for 2010.  Josiah Gunn, a current native of Panama will join the Trojans for next fall's season.

Gunn truly keeps the "International" alive in Trinity International University.  Although born in Highland Park, Gunn has lived throughout Central America including Costa Rica (8 months), Venezuela (4 years), and Panama (8 years) where he paddled across the country in a race called the "Ocean to Ocean Cayuco Race."

As a sophomore Gunn was named captain of his team at Crossroads Christian Academy in Panama City, Panama.  Gunn was also named captain for his junior year, and will finish his senior year beginning this February.

There is no doubt Gunn will bring some passion to the Trojans on the field, as he was awarded "most inspirational athlete" his sophomore and junior years.  His passion is not only on the pitch, but also found in music as a bassist, drummer, and guitarist since the age of seven.  His talent as a musician was developed on his churches worship team and has spilled over into his churches youth group where he is a student leader.

Gunn has experienced mission trips to Guatemala and Peru and is completely bilingual in both written and spoken English and Spanish.  The Trojans have signed quite a talent in their first recruit of 2010, Josiah Gunn will be great asset to the team both on and off the field.
