BOURBONNAIS, IL - Tuesday night the Lady Trojans played against Olivet Nazarene University at the McHie Arena.

Even though Trinity out rebounded the Tigers 51-45, and also had a higher shooting percentage (46.3) than Olivet, it was not enough to overcome the Tigers. Trinity was able to connect 38 of 82 shots, while Olivet was only able to connect 34 of their 78 shots, resulting in a 43.6 shooting percentage for ONU. The difference in scores by the end of game time was likely made at the free throw line. TIU had a 52.4 free throw percentage (11 out of 21 shots made); whereas Olivet had an impressive 90.6 free throw percentage (sinking 29-32 shots).

Offensively, the leading scorers for Trinity were Melanie Duplessis with 22 points and Cassie Glendenning with 19 points. Reanna Perera and Vivianne Kindt contributed with high numbers as well, 15 and 12, respectively. Chamissa Anderson totaled 7 rebounds, while Perera had 8 rebounds.

Trinity's 2009-2010 overall record is now 2-13, while there CCAC record is 0-2. This is their fifth consecutive loss. They hope to turn the losing streak around this weekend.

The Trojans will take the court again on Saturday, January 16, at Cardinal Stritch University. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30pm.
