ST. PAUL, MN - Trojan volleyball lost in three games to Northwestern University this past weekend to end their season with a 20-18 record.

 

The lady Trojan volleyball team traveled to St. Paul, Minnesota this past weekend to begin the NCCAA playoffs. Their opponent was Northwestern University, who had a record of 23-11. The Trojans went into the match with a record of 20-17.

Northwestern began game one with the first kill. Trinity answered back soon and did not let them pull ahead very far. Game one was extremely close at the end, with the score staying within two points for quite a long time. Unfortunately, Northwestern pulled through to win game one, 25-22.

Game two progressed with both teams staying within 2-points or less of each other the entire time. The Trojans battled until the end, but again could not pull through. The final score was 28-26 with Northwestern winning game two as well.

The Trojans seemed to lose some fight in game three as Northwestern pulled away with the lead fast. The final score of game three was 25-12, which knocked Trinity out of the playoffs and moved Northwestern onto the NCCAA National Tournament in Kissimmee, Florida.
