The Trojans began the game fired up with anticipation. The first basket was a 3-point shot scored by Davenport University's Carrie Grubius. Trinity answered back in the 19th minute with a free throw shot by Vivianne Kindt, to make the score 1-8. The Trojans came one point away from tying the game with the Panthers in the 18th minute when the score was 7-8. But in the 14th minute Brittany Lyman of Davenport University made a 3-point shot, which moved the score to 7-11. From that point on, the Panthers expanded their lead through the end of the match. Again in the second half, the Panthers scored first in the 19th minute with a 2-point jump shot. Davenport University claimed the win, with a final score 58-104.
Melanie Duplessis led the attack with 20 points, with two shots being 3-pointers. Ebony Ashley and Krystle Reed both had 2 assists. Overall the game was very scrappy and full of both fouls and turnovers.
The Lady Trojan's free throw percentage for the game was 70.4%.
The Women's Basketball Team's record is now 0-4. The Trojans will play again on Monday November 16th at 7:00pm at Benedictine University.
