HUNTINGTON, IN - Despite forcing 18 turnovers and getting 21 point from Patrick Atkins(JR, Chicago IL), the Trojans were unable to overcome a 46-22 rebounding deficit falling to tournament host Huntington college 92-69.

TIU took the first lead of the game as Atkins stole the ball on the opening possession for Huntington and went coast to coast to give the Trojans the first lead of the game. From there on Huntington would use their size advantage to pound the boards and go on a 19-2 run to take a commanding 15 point lead with 11 minutes remaining in the first half.

The Trojans fought back on the strength of their three point shot as Patrick Lapinski (FR, Annapolis MD) and Carson Chapman (SO, Yorba Linda CA) both knocked down big shots to keep the Trojans in the game. With 5 minutes to go in the first half the Trojans had shaved the lead to 28-19 on a Atkins dunk. Then after a steal by Ignus Verbus (SR, Vilnius Lithuania) TIU pushed to ball down court and found Chapman for a three point attempt but the ball would not go down and the Foresters got the rebound.

The two teams would go back and forth for the rest of the half and at half time Huntington lead Trinity 42-29.

As the second half opened the Trojans were able to cut the lead down to 7 on a Tyrone Smith (JR, Detriot MI) jumper. However Huntington continued to crash the offensive boards making it very difficult for the Trojans to get stops.

Huntington would push the lead up to 20 points with a 21-7 run ovet a 7 minute span. The lead would stay around 20 for the rest of the game as the Trojans were unable to chip away at the host teams lead. In the end it was Huntington 92 Trinity 69.

The Trojans next play Saturday November 14th in the same Huntington Tournament. Their opponent is yet to be announced.
