The volleyball matches that took place at Lake Forest College today were a part of the Breast Cancer Awareness Tournament. Trinity's first opponent was Grinnel College. They were not much of a challenge for the Trojans to overcome. Trinity won this match (25-14, 25-15, 25-15).
Offensively Tayler Areseneau led the attack with 13 kills and a .522 attack percentage.
The team had a total of 6 blocks, with Chelsie Sheilds leading the defense with two solo blocks. Arseneau had 16 digs and Allison Kingbury had 13 digs.
The second match Trinity played against Lake Forest College. This match was more challenging as the Foresters took Trinity to five games. The Trojans overcame the Foresters in game five to pull through to win the match. The finals scores were (25-14, 24-26, 20-25, 25-17, 15-8).
Offensively in match two Arseneau again led the attack with 18 kills and Carly Yattaw followed with 12 kills.
Defensively the team had a total of 9 team blocks, with Arseneau leading with 2.
The Trojans overall record is now 16-15. They will play again on Tuesday October 27th against Robert Morris College at home at 7:00pm.
