After a tough stretch of games, the Lady Trojans brought home a conference victory over the Judson Eagles on Saturday.

The word of the season for the team has been resilience.  The Lady Trojans have fought and battled hard in several games where the results did not go their way.  However, on Saturday, October 3rd, the girls rallied together and broke a 5 game losing streak.

The Judson Eagles came out with a strong attacking presence.  The Trojans began to match that intensity midway through the half.  Both teams had several scoring opportunities but each entered halftime scoreless.

The Lady Trojans came out in the 2nd half and picked up their intensity.  They earned 3 corner kick opportunities within the first 5 minutes of play.  The Trojans found the back of the net with 28 minutes left to go when they possessed off of a throw in and midfielder, Kelly Streekstra, found Sam VanDenack at the top of the key where she slipped the ball in past the Eagle goalie.

"I just really wanted it, there's nothing more to it," said VanDenack.  Her goal was the lone goal of the game and the Trojans won the match, 1-0.  They will face Robert Morris College on Wednesday, October 7 in Bensenville, IL at 7:00 PM.
