The Trojans lost a heartbreaking 2-0 loss to the Bethel College Pilots to close out homecoming weekend on the campus of Trinity International.
The game's tone was set in the 6th minute of the game when a pair of yellow cards were given to both a TIU and Bethel College player.
Bethel scored in the 16th minute of the game when captain Jorge Marquez served a corner kick and Zach Goaz connected to head the ball into the back of the net.
The Trojans were down 1-0 at half, but entered the 2nd half with a determined and resilient spirit. They created several scoring opportunities but could not find the back of the net.
Zach Goaz connected with Arron Patrick off a free kick and scored his 2nd goal of the game in the 78th minute. The Pilots held off the Trojans and won the game 2-0.
The Trojans will go on to play Trinity Christian College on Saturday, September 26 in Palos Heights hoping to gain their first victory of the season.
