Sep 12 - Trinity International men's soccer team fell over the weekend in both of their non-conference games.

Traveling to Iowa, TIU opened the weekend at Morningside University.  The host Mustangs got on the board early at the 5 minute mark on a goal from Rick Kievets.  The goal was assisted by Matt Witt and Jake Adams.  It was one of 13 shots taken by Morningside to TIU's 5.

The Trojan defense held strong for the remainder of the 1st half, however, the Mustangs would add two goals in the period.  Kievets and Adams which roles, this time Adams scoring and Kievets assisting.  Kory Kraker added a goal in the 73rd minute.

TIU avoided the shutout with a goal from Vasily Giannnakopoulus (F/MF, So, Wilmot, WI) with 7 minutes to play.

On Saturday, the Trojan men traveled to Dordt College to take on the Defenders.  The contest was a closer affair, however, TIU found itself again in the loss column 2-1.

The two losses drop the Trojans to 0-7 on the season.  They will be back in action on Wednesday, September 16 as they open CCAC play against St. Xavier.  Gametime is set for 4 PM CST.
