May 3 - The Trinity International mens soccer team is proud to announce the signing of Hinsdale South High School student-athlete Josh Michaelis to a soccer scholarhsip.

"We are very excited to add Josh into our fold to help make us stronger next season," said Head Coach Patrick Gilliam.  "He is an excellent fit both on the field and in the classroom."

Josh, who will be graduating from Hindale South High School in June, will be a 2nd generation TIU student and the son of Eric Michaelis

Josh comes to TIU having gained several academic and athletic accomplishments:

Academic
- Academic Deans list all four years at Hinsdale South

- Athletes IHSA Scholastic Achievement Award 2007, 2008

- All Conference Athletic Academic Team 2008

Soccer
- Captain-2008 Hinsdale South Soccer Team

- 2008 All Area Honorable Mention Soccer Team- the Doings newspaper

- Fall 2007 All Conference (West Suburban Conference), All-Sectional honorable
  mention, All-Area Team suburban life and The Doing paper all as a junior.
- Oct 2007 Athlete of the week, The Doings paper,

- 2008 Sportsmanship Award voted by teammates

- 2007& 2008 Most Valuable Defensive player for Hinsdale South as a Junior and
   Senior voted by teammates

- 2005 Selected to play for Chicago City Select representing Chicago land while playing
   in Scotland.

- Lettered three years with Varsity soccer

- Have played traveling soccer since age 8.  Last couple years have played with the
   Downers Grove Roadrunners.
