Allen-Bradley Gymnasium, on the campus of Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, Wis., will serve as the site for the 2009 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Division II Tournament championship game after No. 1-seeded Cardinal Stritch gained revenge on No. 4 Purdue University Calumet, winning 64-52 Thursday night.
Meanwhile, over in Elgin, Ill., No. 3 Trinity International University saw a 16-point lead evaporate at the hands of No. 2 Judson University only to have Jonkea Stewart-Butler save the day with a game-winning three-pointer with 55 seconds left to give the Trojans a 60-58 victory.
That sets up the 2 p.m. matchup between Cardinal Stritch (19-10) and Trinity International (19-11) on Saturday with the winner advancing to the NAIA national tournament.
Stritch, which won the tournament title last year, as well, holds a 2-0 lead on the Trojans this year winning at home Jan. 14, 82-61, and on the road Feb. 7, 77-48.
