Nov. 21 - Trinity International University is proud to announce Jenna Sippel as its Interim Women's Softball Coach.
Sippel graduated from Trinity International two years ago with a degree in Sports Wellness and Management. Last year she was a part of the team as a graduate assistant and is still working towards her MA in Counseling and Psychology. As an undergrad Sippel was a 1st Team NCCAA All-American and led the Lady Trojans to a fourth place finish in the NCCAA Tournament her senior year. Other awards she collected while at Trinity include a nomination to the NAIA All-Region Team, the CCAC All-Conference Team, and the CCAC All-Tournament Team.
When asked about joining the Lady Trojans as their new interim coach, Sippel remarked, "I am looking forward to a new beginning with this program. The numbers at this point are low but I just see that as a program that can be developed. This team has gone through a lot and so I have no doubt they can handle any challenge that comes their way. I am very confident and excited about this upcoming season."
As a former student athlete at TIU, Sippel has had an inside look at what it means to be a part of one of its athletic programs. Sippel had this to say about the institution, "Trinity is highly devoted to its students and the Athletic Department is no different. I can honestly say that playing here changed my life. I have a very strong belief in the program because I have seen firsthand the difference a program like this can make. It's a different kind of investment and I look forward to being a part of it."
Sippel takes over a squad that finished with a 4-29 record last season. Their first matchup will take place this March in Tucson, Arizona as they take part in the Tucson Invitational Games.
