Junior Outside Hitter Carly Yattaw was elected to the CCAC All-Conference Team after leading the team with an outstanding .283 hitting percentage, tallying 529 kills.  Yattaw has had a remarkable career with the Trojans accumulating 1177 kills in the past three years.  The individual milestone of 1,000 kills was reached on October 14th of this year as TIU defeated Robert Morris in four sets.  Adding to the success of the team in a plethora of ways, she notched 62 blocks at a rate of .42 per game and contributed a .942 serve receive percentage.  "Carly is a consistent, smart attacker, and her offense has been a great asset to our program," Head Coach Jill Rokosik said.  "She has provided the constancy that a young program needs and has shouldered a great deal of our attack with poise and resiliency."

Freshman Outside Hitter Tayler Arseneau earned CCAC Honorable Mention All-Conference honors in amassing 377 kills, 574 digs, a .957 serve receive percentge, and 42 aces to go along with her .927 serving percentage.  Arseneau ranked second on the team in both number of kills and digs per game while leading the team in serve receive percentage.  "As a freshman, Tayler contributed a great deal to this program," Coach Rokosik commented.  "She is not only an exceptional athlete, but consistently gives maximum effort.  She is hardworking and determined, and I expect great things from her in the future of TIU Volleyball."

Each member of the squad also strives for excellence in the classroom which is shown in the team's cumulative GPA of 3.18.  Jacqui Thomson joined Yattaw in providing leadership in those academic pursuits.  Thomson is a junior majoring in Elementary Education while Yattaw's study of interest is Mathematics Secondary Education.  Both student athletes work tirelessly in their collegiate pursuits and have both been awarded NAIA and NCCAA Scholar Athlete Awards for their efforts.  The NCCAA requires the student athlete to be of junior or senior status with a GPA of at least 3.4 while the NAIA requires junior or senior status while maintaining a GPA of at least 3.5.
