MESA, AZ-  The Trinity International University men's baseball team finished their campaign at the Greater Phoenix Invitational with a strong 9-4 record.  The Trojans return home to Deerfield ready for the regular season.


The Trojans record at the Greater Phoenix Invitational finished off with 5 wins and 4 losses.

The Trojans started off on fire winning their first two games against La Sierra Univesity on March 5th, 22-5 and 9-4 respectively.

TIU suffered it's first defeat of the season March 9th against Malone College in a narrow 2-3 defeat.  Later on that night the Trojans next contest against Northern State University would be canceled due to rain.

The Trojans would bounce back from their defeat winning both games on March 10th against Dakota State University, 4-2; and Peru State University, 5-4.

March 11th would prove to be a big victory for the Trojans against #22 ranked opponent Malone University, 7-5.

However, Malone University would get the best of the Trojans the following day, March 12th defeating the Trojans in both contests, 3-9 and 1-15.

The final day of the Greater Phoenix Invitational would also get the best of the Trojans losing to Mayville State Univesrity, 3-5.

The Trojans ended the Invitational with a 9-4 season record and look to start the regular season strong with a double header against Goshen College March 17th, at 1:00 PM.

The Trojans won all four games previously against Goshen when they last played in Sarasota, FL Febuary 26th and 27th at the Goshen Invitational.
